I have done quite a bit of giveaways hosted by bloggers. Thanks for all of their support. Giveaways are a fun way to give back to the creative community. So I actually thought i would do my first official one when I hit 1000 likes on facebook. Well, I didn't think it would be this soon. So let's see, what should we do. I know what the prize would be - it was going to be $100 when I have 1000 likes and $200 when I hit 2000 likes - fun? This one will be for the $100, just to make it clear. The hard part is coming up with what the game rules should be. So I'm just going to start typing and see what I end up with:

1. Must like cutetape facebook (obviously!) 

2. Follow cutetape on twitter (no, I don't really update it but...just follow haha but this one is not a must)

3. I'm going to post about the giveaway officially starting and the post where you should comment on with your link to your blog post related to #4.

4. Write a blog post about why you like cutetape.com and why you like washi tape with a link using "washi tape" to cutetape.com. You can also post about projects you have done with washi tape of course. Also tell me what you would do if you win the giveaway. If you don't have a blog, start one (it's easy with blogger if you have a google account or tumblr). You may even get addicted to blogging! It doesn't have to be an established blog, but should at least be nicely designed.

***UPDATE - Ok, I didn't anticipate people being against blogs -sorry for being shortsighted. So I'm adding that you can use facebook notes to do your post. The same judging will be in place. I don't know much about facebook notes, so here are some info I found for you guys who would like to use that method. If you enter this method, post on cutetape's facebook giveaway post and your own facebook status:

4a. In your facebook account > upper right, click "profile">left side menu should have "Notes" under your profile picture. Click "write a note". Then post that note link for entry on cutetape's facebook.

4b. Instructions to add pictures in facebook notes -- click here. To add a link, use something like this:

Hope that will help brighten up some sad faces I got today! hehe

I'm pretty detail oriented and I love it when someone actually pays attention to detail as well. It's like when people trying out for jobs and they copy paste a generic message and resume...that's just no fun. When someone puts thoughts into it and answer every question asked, then that's better (just my hint on how to win). So I will personally pick top 3 blog posts and I'm going to have others vote on which one should win. The posts will be judged on content writing, following instruction, images used, and overall look and tone of the post. Make it fun! 

When does the giveaway end? Well, let's see...there has to be at least 15 entries and the date is tentative for February 1st when I pick the 3, then few days for others to vote on one final winner. If by February 1st, there isn't 15 entries, then it will be extended until that number hits. This will be open for worldwide entries, but the post should be in English so I can understand it ok? If it's an international winner, the $100 will have to include the shipping (sorry but usps just raised their prices and it's a killer!)
